Zombified Zaxy! [4 comments]
Saturday Tara and I shuffled around at the Red, White and Dead event in Fremont. We were zombies on missions.
1) Enjoy a day full of all things undead.
2) Steal our title of Zombie Capital of the World back from England.
Needless to say, it was a blast. We ‘learned’ the Thriller dance (which yours truly sucked hard at, but Tara was rocking it) and played a bit of Dead Rising 2. We missed out on the zombie fashion show as we were uh, grabbing zombie drinks (aka beer) and were busy meeting other zombies along the way.
I think I speak for Tara as well when I say next year we MUST be even more zombified. I’m talking white/blue/green skin with more blood, bruises, bites, burns and splattered brains.
When it was almost time for the zombie walk, we joined the horde and waited in the blazing sun. Because we all know heat speeds up the decaying process, we had to grab some fresh brains (aka ice cream) so we wouldn’t melt into a pile of fleshy goo.

The walk itself was entertaining, to say the least. Cars fleeing the city were honking, and those fortunate enough not to have been infected yet didn’t quite know what to make of us.
Some folks had AMAZING zombie shuffles, and if I hadn’t known any better I probably would have tinkled myself.
As we finished shuffling and stumbling, everyone was informed that we had beaten the record. BOOYA England!
Yup, these two chicks are now a part of the Guinness World Records. Who needs to be known as that girl who invented commercialized hoverboards when you can go down in history as a participant in the world’s largest zombie walk?
(Hey, we’ll take what we can get. I don’t see your name in the book after all!)
Zombies unite!
And for the record, this zombie (Jacob Wysong is his real name) had gaming tats, so I had to take pictures.

We should have a video up sometime this week as well :) stay tuned!!!

Ok that looked like a ton of fun. Urge to eat ice cream is oddly high too.
That’s just awesome. I wish LA had something like that. … Actually it probably does and I’m not aware of it. >_<
This is awesome!
I have to say though, I hope England breaks the record again. Not that I wish ill upon the good zombies of Seattle, but because I would love to see these events keep escalating and getting bigger and bigger.
