Before you throw tomatoes at me for not posting nearly all summer, I want you to know that… I’m now going to make a bunch of excuses about how I was traveling every week, went to three different web-related conferences, spent some time with my elderly grandparents, and in general didn’t have enough time for the Internet. So, okay. Throw tomatoes. But at least I’m back now!
My first order of business upon re-rentering the world of regular Zaxy posting is to bestow upon you a gift from the mystical world of Zaxy Sleepovers. And to embarrass myself and fellow bloggers.
Here is a video of the three of us playing ‘Just Dance’ earlier this year – the footage was sitting on my hard drive all this time, just asking to be posted online for the public to see. I personally have no shame, but the other girls had no idea this existed until recently. *evil grin*
As you can see, dancing may not exactly be our forte when it comes to video games. But at least none of us straight up fell over, or pulled a muscle, or exploded from exhaustion am I right? AM I RIGHT? I heard that’s a thing. Exploding. From exhaustion.
It’s nice to be back, Zaxy crew. I’ll see you again soon, I promise.
(Secret note from Tara: Want to see more of us dancing ridiculously? Then donate to Extra Life and tune in to our livestream on October 15th!)
I’ve always been a fan of the Finebros’ “Kids React” series on YouTube, but this one struck a particular chord in my heart as I sat there watching adorable children react the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 trailer.
While I’m a little disappointed that some of the kids don’t seem to think reading is cool (come on, parents) I’m glad to know that this younger generation of children is still playing Whomping Willow freeze tag on the playgrounds, rather than inventing some sort of Twilight games. I mean, what games would they even play? Jump off the cliff into freezing water? Pretend we sparkle in the sun? Lie to everyone we know and love because of this new boy we have a crush on?
Thanks again, Harry, for saving the youth of the world.
Tara here, reporting from sore throat-ville, adjacent to sniffles-town. I’m dealing with a bit of the con-crud, but was able to make a quick recap video while I was slightly healthier last night. I cannot wait to read all of the sweet comics I got and tell you all about them! Let this hold you over until that day comes:
Let me know what your fave part of Emerald City Comic Con was (if you were there)!
And I’ll leave you with this, my new favorite photo of all time:
So it’s a bit belated, but we hope you all will still be ours.
The Zaxy ladies all made videos showing off the valentines they made for the winners of our Valentine contest. Winners: Your valentines will be a little late, because someone (GRAYSON) still hasn’t sent his address in. Grayson! Email tara at zaxy dot com!
Without further ado, the winners and their valentines:
Britt’s Choice: Derrick
Kristina’s Choice: Grayson
Tara’s Choice: Griff56
Thank you again to all who entered, it was really incredibly tough to pick the winners. You are all so awesome!
Did you have a good Valentine’s Day? What did you do? (Interesting fact: If you play “You Don’t Know Jack” on Valentine’s Day, it KNOWS. And judges you.)
Emerald City Comic Con took place last weekend on March 13th & 14th 2010 and it was a blast! Here are two videos of our experiences and all the events that took place at the Con! Enjoy!
