TMNT Tell You To Stay Away From Pot

Things I’ve learned today:
Michelangelo is high.
Calling people a turkey is an awesome insult.
There are people out there that have TONS of pot, and are insulted if you don’t take it from them.

Thanks, Ninja Turtles!

(And thanks to Jorge_Z for sending my way!)

Community Theme Crossovers

Community is a fantastic, wonderful show. So what could be better than combining it with two other amazing shows to create these hilarious show theme parodies?

I give you, Community, as 30 Rock:

And as Parks And Recreation!

These video parodies were created as a continued effort to help save Community from the impending hiatus NBC has put the show on. If you’re a fan of Community, please, tell everyone you know to watch it. Help keep great TV on the air. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie

Production Video From Game Of Thrones: Season 2

This video got me so excited for Game of Thrones. I can’t believe I have to wait until April.

Do you watch Game of Thrones?

Doctor Who Strips For Charity

The Doctor donated the clothing off of his back for Children in Need last week. I love the descriptions of his clothing.

BRB, looking for a red button.

(If you haven’t seen the trailer for the Christmas episode yet, you can check it out here.)

Drama with “Community”

Fans of Community may have noticed the show missing from the mid-season lineup NBC released yesterday. I admit to going a bit crazy and tweeting about it, speculating if this meant the show would be canceled.

According to the Huffington Post, the show WILL be returning, there just isn’t a set date yet.

I’m still upset. I think they should make a “Troy and Ahbed in the Morning” web series while we wait for it to return.

Do you watch Community? What are your thoughts on the mid-season lineup? Who is actually watching Whitney?

Lego CSI

This lego-version of CSI by Pixels Per Second has everything you’d expect from a CSI parody: enhancing and awful puns. I would totally watch a full-length series of this.

What’s your favorite CSI pun?

Bronies – it’s not a new thing.

As a huge fan of the new My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series, I try very hard to speak only positively of the “herd” that follows the show religiously. But while surfing around on YouTube today, I found this video backing up my theory that boys watching girl cartoons isn’t a new concept.

Admit it, boys. You’ve been secretly watching TV meant for us girls for ages, haven’t you? So the next time you decide to poke fun at a Brony, think back to your childhood. How would you feel if someone find your Carebear VHS tapes? The poster of She-Ra under your bed? The Jem lunch box you stole and then claimed your little sister “lost”.

That’s what I thought.

Confirmed: Arrested Development Movie + Episodes

Last night, I was told Arrested Developement was confirmed to create a movie as well as 10 episodes to reintroduce the cast. I checked the calendar to make sure it wasn’t April, then pinched myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. It was true. So true. Creator Mitchell Hurwitz and stars Will Arnett and Jason Bateman told us so.

I can’t freakin wait.

According to Hurwitz, “We’re basically hoping to do nine or 10 episodes with almost one character per episode, where like the first episode will just be Buster. We’re kinda picturing it like, um, well the latest joke we have is that, you know, it’s Cambridge, Massachusetts and there’s all these scientists in lab coats and they’re waiting for somebody and Buster comes through the door wearing a lab coat and says `let’s begin,’ and they say, `you don’t get to wear the lab coat, we’re experimenting on you.”

Filming of the episodes and movies will occur in the summer of 2012, with an intended release in summer 2013. I’ll be interested to see if the limited episode run will occur on Fox, on the web, or on another network.

Check out the full Arrested Development panel from The 2011 New Yorker Festival by “liking” the New Yorker Facebook page .

Are you excited? What do you think the Bluth family’s been up to these past 7 years?

Doctor Who Confidential gets the boot

Whovians, we received some bad news yesterday – due to “budget cuts”, they’re discontinuing the making of the popular companion show to everyone’s favorite timelord drama. This mean it’s time to say goodbye to Doctor Who: Confidential.

I have mixed feelings about this. I will admit, as an American fan of the series (and therefor needing to find alternate means of viewing episodes of DW [as watching them on television wasn't an option]) there were countless times I had my new episode of DW all ready to watch on my laptop, only to find out I’d accidentally downloaded the Confidential instead of the real thing. Drat!

But despite my own stupidity, Doctor Who: Confidential is a great show. How many of your other favorite TV shows let you come backstage as welcomingly as this, offering cast and crew interviews with every single episode? A show that reaches out to its fans episode after episode is truly a great thing, and I will definitely be sad to see it go after six great seasons.

I understand that the networks want to focus their attention more on the “prime time” shows rather than a spin-off series, but Doctor Who is such a popular show in itself that the decision is greeted by many long faces.

For more information, you can check out this article by the Guardian. Even better, if you’d like to send a complaint to the BBC, you can do so here. And last, to follow updates on the process, here is a twitter specifically for fans trying to save the show.
