Over the weekend, a Microsoft executive’s account was hacked by an upset Xbox Live customer.
Alright, no big deal. Hackers hack shit all the time. That’s what they do. But let me tell you WHY this hacker was upset.
BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN BANNED FROM XBOX LIVE 35 TIMES.
PredatorSik, which I assume to be this fool’s online persona and not his real name, was so butt-hurt over been banned so many times from XBL he decided to hack the XBL account of Stephen Toulouse, the head of Xbox Live’s policy and enforcement division. But he didn’t stop there. He proceeded to hack into Stephen’s personal email and blog.
Oh, then he made a YouTube video, which has since been taken down. I heard it consisted of a lot of heavy breathing.
Seriously, dude? I can’t imagine what the heck someone would do to be banned 35 times. Honestly, I wouldn’t even know how to go about getting myself banned.
And there you have it folks. This is the reason why I have a unisex gamertag and I don’t use a microphone. The quotes are right on except they’re missing the part where they send 20 messages and friend requests after each match.
Not going to lie though, if I see the GT, PinkHottieCutie420, I wana scream profanities and threats at her too. What’s the deal with that anyways? Why does everyone want to kill all the women playing video games?! Even other women? Hm, don’t care. GET HER!!!
Let me first start off by saying JETPACKS and ASSASSINATIONS! Holy mother of Anakin. As if I wasn’t already excited about Halo: Reach before, I’m now about 2-steps away from jacking some Seattle college n00b’s Vespa and riding it all the way to Kirkland, WA to find Bungie Studios. I want the Beta and I want it RIGHT NOW!
No, this is not about Robert Pattinson happily smiling at you while doing your dishes, so all you Twilighter idiots can go hyperventilate someplace else!
The gnarly, 2-D side-scroller ‘The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai‘ was a violent blood bath fest on XBLA. For some reason I never brought myself to play it. Despite the fact that my list of games to play is more or less turning into a 5ft long pirate’s scroll, (YEEAARGH!) I’m extremely motivated to play it now that Ska Studios has released the trailer for its sequel ‘The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile.’
Seriously. If you are good and I mean REAAAAALLY good, now is the time to finally stop talking crap and do it! MLG (Major League Gaming) alongside with Doritos Frito-Lay have announced ‘Pro-Gaming Combine.’ This is your first chance ever to enter into a nationwide competition to become official Pro Gamers. Starting tonight at 7, tickets go on sale FOR TEAMS at http://www.doritoscombine.com for the Nashville, Tennessee location (March 26th – 28th) and individual player tickets go onsale Wednesday, Feb. 24th.
Man I want to go! Not because I think I have a chance in the world, believe me I’m no TSquared or Walshster, but I wish I could watch and be at the event!
First things first, Happy President’s Day! This day means so much to me! Being a person who works on holidays, I can finally find easy parking and get to work with no Seattle traffic. Amazing! What a joyus day! (What fore-fathers? Abe & George, who?)
Now back to the important stuff, Microsoft displayed and announced the Windows Phone 7 Series, a phone that has been long awaited by Microsoft/Window’s fans since the iPhone’s release 3 years ago. If you havent checked it out or watched the video yet, click here!
Feeling like I now live in the stone age with my touchscreen-less, no internet, scotch-tape enhanced, Blackberry Pearl that I purchased over 5 years ago, I feel like its finally time to step out of my comfort zone and consider a new phone. But now for the real question, which direction do I go? The Apple iPhone? Google’s Nexus 1? And now that the Windows Phone 7 Series is thrown into the mix, (-P.S. what kind of name is that?) this is a big decision to make!
Being someone who is definitely in between the Apple vs. Microsoft war, simple decisions have become extremely complicated with all the choices & conflicting limitations from both sides. Which products will work with this & that, who has what and which one works better, it’s a constant battle that must be settled with one solution: GIMMIE ONE!
Now here is something that sparkled my eye about the Windows Phone 7 Series. It will have Xbox Live. (Its going to have touchscreen! It’s going to have Windows! And it’s going to have XBOX LIVE! BIYAAAAAAAAAH! -Howard Dean) “But theres already a bajillion different games for mobile devices and some phones can already connect to XBL through certain applications!” So what does this really mean? Here’s what Microsoft’s said:
“Games—This hub delivers the first and only official Xbox LIVE experience on a phone, including Xbox LIVE games, Spotlight feed and the ability to see a gamer’s avatar, Achievements and gamer profile. With more than 23 million active members around the world, Xbox LIVE unlocks a world of friends, games and entertainment on Xbox 360, and now also on Windows Phone 7 Series.”
I’m excited to see what the Windows Phone 7 Series has in store. I might not wait til the 2010 holiday season to purchase a new phone, but at least I’m happy to be looking forward to one! What do you guys think about the Windows Phone 7 Series?
According to developer Peter Molyneux, Fable III will not be an RPG. Given the fact that the Fable series is arguably even classified as an RPG in the first place, it was announced that there will be no traditional leveling of our characters, no experience points and progression/leveling will be based on “morphing” weapons and by the manner in which we use them.
So it’s been quite some time since I’ve played the first Bioshock. I can barely remember who is who and the names of what, but I do remember feeling sheer utter amazement and curiosity when I first started the original! It was amazing! The story kept me so curious and motivated and it is definitely the only scary (semi-scary for you brave-folk) game I’ve ever actually brought myself to play!
So anyway, I bought Bioshock 2 yesterday on the day of it’s release. I loved the original Bioshock and although I was doubtful, I still had high hopes for the sequel. I started playing and I must say that so far I am not thrilled. It seems just… ehhhh. Nothing really captivating or new. Don’t get me wrong, I understand it’s a sequel and it’s the freakin Rapture for heaven’s sakes! But what made me love the original Bioshock so much was it’s mystery and shock/awe values. Wandering into the mysterious underwater city was fascinating and creepy! Given that I’m familiar with Rapture now, the sequel is nothing I’m not used to and much less interesting if you catch my drift.
Sure we’re a Big Daddy who can now drill people, sure we can now go outside of the Rapture and go underwater, sure this little sister is kind of cute and endearing, but it’s still so blah to me! Seems repetative. And with all the other games out there right now, I’m way too underwhelmed with Bioshock 2 to dedicate my time to it. They should have released it before Mass Effect 2 came out and maybe then I’d be more enthusiastic!
Starting April 15, 2010 Microsoft is discontinuing Xbox Live for the regular Xbox. I can’t remember the last time I went on Live on my regular Xbox but still, just knowing that I can’t kind of makes me sad. :(
