Whedon Adapted “Much Ado About Nothing” [1 comment]

October 24, 2011

It’s been announced that Joss Whedon has adapted and directed “Much Ado About Nothing” starring a variety of actors from other Whedon projects, include Nathan Fillion.

This man is amazing. I can’t wait to find out more about the project. The official site is muchadothemovie.com, and will hopefully be updated soon.

Will you see a Whedon/Shakespeare movie? And after this and the Avengers, what story should he adapt next? (I’ve got my hopes set on “Beauty and the Browncoat Beast”.)

Browncoats Gather in Support [4 comments]

February 22, 2011

There’s been a flurry of conversations and activity this week as browncoats hope for a possible comeback of their favorite show.

The talk began early this week with an article with a very misleading title from MTV Geek stating that “Firefly Returns… and Nathan Fillion is open to play Mal Again”. Yes, reruns of Firefly will be shown on the Science Channel, and Nathan Fillion has mentioned that he would be interested in reappearing as Mal or producing Firefly at some point (for instance, if he wins the CA state lottery), but those points are unrelated. There is no confirmation of Firefly coming back or Nathan Fillion doing anything with it, but that didn’t stop the fans from mobilizing.

Then this piece of TV magic occurred:

Nathan Fillion tweeted it out, and has been receiving mentions of support from former Firefly crew, as well as an outpouring from fans. Currently, fans are in talks of assisting Nathan Fillion in raising money to bring Firefly back. Want to join the cause? Join “Help Nathan Buy Firefly” on Facebook, visit their website, and follow Nathan Fillion on Twitter.

What would you be willing to do/give to get Firefly back on the air?

Dr. Horrible Update! [3 comments]

March 19, 2010

I heart Neil Patrick Harris. Yes, I know that me being female means that nothing will ever happen between us, but a girl can dream, right? Right?

Anyway, one of the things I love best about NPH is his work in Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog. I laughed, I cried, I sang along. And now I wait impatiently to hear news of more.

NPH told MTV News a bit on the future of Dr. Horrible:

I personally am waiting for a Broadway musical to be made about Dr. Horrible (and I would be there on opening day…), but until something like that happens, a full-length feature would be just as incredibly exciting. Need any extra Dr. Horrible groupies in the film? I’m happy to help!

For more information on Dr. Horrible, check out their website at www.drhorrible.com

You can also check out a “Captain Hammer” comic if you prefer good guys to the horrible ones.
