I received a wonderful email from Brandee “Dangerdoll” Adams the other day suggesting I take a look at a comic called “Luci Phurr’s Imps”, and it is adorable.
A little girl mistakenly receives the Devil’s imps to do her bidding when her father makes a deal with the devil. Instead of world domination, this girl often just wants help selling cookies or standing up to the bully.
The imps are witty, the girl is cute, and this is an overall enjoyable comic. It updates every Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Check out it’s last full story on bullies here!

Kris Straub, co-host of Tweet Me Harder also writes multiple web comics. And today’s is brought to us by recommendation from “ohsnap”.
Chainsawsuit.

Chainsawsuit is a “punch-line a day” kind of comic, and they’re wonderful. Including one involving cloning and cannibalism that may be the most disturbing thing I’ve ever seen. It updates daily, so check it out now and come back for more goodness tomorrow!

Buttersafe is an incredibly adorable web comic. Yeah, I say that a lot. But there are tons of adorable comics! Sheesh.
Anyway, it’s funny as well. Not quite as morbid as Perry Bible Fellowship, but often as random and twisted.

Any comic that sides with zombies is a friend of mine.
Buttersafe updates Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What do you think? Do you read Buttersafe? What are some of your fave webcomics?

Firefly is no longer on the air. Serenity was only but one film. So what does a browncoat do to stay in touch with their fave show?

They create and read fan-made webcomics.
Serenity Tales is a collection of webcomics in every style about our favorite characters from Firefly.
The site hasn’t updated since 2008, but the stuff on there is pretty well done. Spend an afternoon and take a look around!

Free Comic Book Day is coming up this Saturday, and I am celebrating by sharing some of my favorite comics this week!
Take a look at yesterday’s post on Demo.
I’m doing double duty today by profiling a webcomic that’s also available as a full-color, very pretty graphic novel.
And that’s Night Zero.
Full Disclosure, I know the people who created this (and helped a bit myself back in the day!). But that doesn’t mean it’s not still ridiculously awesome.
Night Zero is a post-apocalyptic photographic novel that takes place in Seattle. It’s created with HDR photography that gives it a comic book-y look. In fact, instead of being like a normal comic (where someone writes the story and someone else illustrates it), the production of Night Zero is more like a movie set. The script is written, story boards are made, actors are cast, and the shooting is done on location. After that, the images are formatted onto the page.
What results is a comic with actual people in actual Seattle locations with ACTUAL zombies. (Or maybe actors with some zombie makeup. It’s up to you to decide.)

From the Untitled Vignette
The plot focuses on a group of survivors after a “scratcher” outbreak leaves the world in an apocalyptic state. What types of politics and conspiracies will go on?
Night Zero updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on their site, or you can purchase their first or second volume online, at Amazon.com, or at most comic shops in Seattle.
Stay tuned… on Friday I’ll let you know when and where I’ll be on Free Comic Book Day. Hope to see you there!

I’m sorry, dear readers. I have failed you. It is not Wednesday, but I have not yet done a weekly webcomic post. I blame technical difficulties. And real work. And distracting internet videos. Accept this one late with my apologies.
This week’s webcomic is an oldy but a goody. Perry Bible Fellowship looks cheery, fun, and suitable for children, but it is not. The comics almost ALWAYS end in horrible death or crippling awkwardness. Enjoy!

Ahh, true love…
The comic no longer updates, but there are plenty of comics for you to browse through. Go ahead, waste a few hours and try to figure out if you should be laughing or crying at www.pbfcomics.com

I love dinosaurs. I love comics. Which means Dinosaur Comics and I are a perfect fit.
Plus, silly awkward angry dinosaurs spouting off intelligent banter is lovely. Mostly because it reminds me of myself.
Dinosaur comics features the same illustration every day, only the amazing, amazing words change.

xkcd is a webcomic for the true nerds among us. Sweet, simple, and very internet and math focused, I’m not ashamed to say that I don’t always understand the comic. But I try. Who said you wouldn’t use the math you learned in high school? Cause you’re for sure using it now.
Some of my current favorites:
