Raised blood pressure. Sweat. Spastic, enraged button mashing. Curse words spewing from your mouth.
And then comes the controller throwing.
I personally, have never thrown a controller. Sure, I’ve slammed a controller down, but I’d imagine once a controller subconsciously morphs into a ninja throwing star it would be a blatant sign that I need to swallow my pride and walk away.
I mean, if something in a video game is THAT frustrating, I would like to take a break before my Gamer Rage Meter tops and begins to spill over.
But let’s say I don’t walk away. Let’s say I am so adamant on getting past this daunting challenge.
But I can’t get past the challenge. I keep failing.
And failing.
And failing.
Finally, I snap.
But I’ve already thrown a controller, so what do I do?
Simple. I break the disc in half and send it to the developer.
That is exactly what a Gears of War 2 player did. He became so enraged with the lag, he scribbled “LAG SUCKS” on the disk, busted the disc in half and mailed the pieces to Epic Games.
Check it.
The best part? WE NOW HAVE MARCUS FENIX’S FREAKIN’ ADDRESS! W00T! ::sends panties::
Enter the Old Spice guy. You know, the one always flirting with your girlfriend via television?
Well he’s a pretty big deal, and his commercials make me giggle every time. In fact, he is such a big deal that he’s now responding to random questions and comments directed towards him via Twitter and YouTube.
Enter Cliff Bleszinski, aka Cliffy B (don’t hurt me) aka DUDEHUGE of Epic Games. He also joined in on the fun and sent Mr. Old Spice the following question via twitter:
“Do you do everything with your shirt off? Like, drive to the supermarket? Because I usually do.”
Gears of War 3 is rumored to be coming April 2011 with the first teaser trailer to be released as early as next month. Do we believe our ears? This information comes from a “trusted US publishing source” from Edge. The game also is rumored to have a full reveal at E3 in June.
“Microsoft’s keen to avoid a clash with Halo: Reach and wants Natal to own Christmas. That’s why we won’t be seeing Gears of War 3 until next year, but expect a major marketing push ahead of its release,” the source said. Via IGN
