Project Natal To Cost $149?! [2 comments]

Posted in Gaming and Tech.

How much is too much for Xbox’s highly anticipated motion tracking system, Project Natal?

According to Edge, Project Natal will be available in October for a whopping price of $149.

Dude.. I could buy a Best Buy refurbished Xbox 360 for that much! Add another $50 and I could buy a brand new console with 2 games!

With Sony’s PS3 Move promising to be less than $100, what’s your deal, Microsoft? Why so steep?

according to Joystiq.com, the price point for a bundle with the arcade system will be $300. personally, i’m not a fan of Natal or the Move. i think that a lot of games are going to come out with unnecessary Natal or Move sequences that will completely break the game flow. sort of like quick time events. just give me a regular game to play with a regular controller and i’ll be fine.

  2. Y’know, for $50 dollars more you could also buy a sexy black wii WITH more than everything Natal alone has to offer. The wii has some good games hidden between the shelves of shovelware. And shovelware is all that Natal will bring. Also, it’s supposed to make you really tired really fast, according to an escapist magazine review. So, in short, don’t bother if you’re expecting some kind of gaming revolution that hasn’t already been offered in some way shape or form. Discalmer: all the preceding text is IMO
