Playstation Phone is Here! [2 comments]

Back in October, Britt posted about a rumored Playstation Phone.
It’s here!!!
The Xperia PLAY is for Verizon, and is available on sale at Amazon Wireless. (Plus, according to my contacts at AW, you’ll get a bonus $10 app store credit if you get the phone through June 4th.)
This is the first Playstation-certified phone, has a slideout Playstation controller, an Android OS (2.3, or Gingerbread), and comes with 2 GB of pre-loaded games. Games include Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, Crash Bandicoot, Madden NFL 11, The Sims 3, Star Battalion, and TETRIS.
I have an Android right now (the Samsung Galaxy S) and love it. I can’t even imagine having it slide out into a game controller. Freakin sweet.
Will you be getting one of these phones? I’d love to hear a review!

GameInformer has been writing articles about this for a quite some time too. I guess Sony was waiting for E3 to announce it. Personally I haven’t had a cell phone in about seven years so I wouldn’t get it. But it’s a great idea since most people are leaving the handhelds behind to play games on their phone. Angry Birds just got a new face lift. This is going to give Nintendo some serious competition.
My buddy Mike, who writes occasionally for my site, wrote a little review on it since he now owns it. Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to correct his spelling errors lol. Here’s the review if you’re interested:
