Ask anyone I’ve been around lately, and they’ll all tell you the same thing: I am way too freakin excited for “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter“. Universal Studios opens up their newest theme park on June 18th, and I hope to get there as close to then as possible so I can experience it all.

But until then, all I can do is re-read the books and re-watch the movies. But what happens when pre-teen wizard angst becomes too much for this muggle?

I put in Wizard People, Dear Reader.

“Wizard People, Dear Reader” is an audio track designed to play with the first Harry Potter film on mute. Brad Neely, of “Babycakes” and “Professor Brothers” fame, created this track in 2004. It’s narrated as an audio book of Harry Potter… if Harry Potter was written in a slightly different dimension. Harry’s a drunk, Hermione is sad and desperate, and Snape is a woman. It’s brilliant.

Don’t watch somewhere quiet, because you will be laughing out loud.

If you don’t want to download the audio track and rent the film, the individual chapters can be found on youtube. Take a look at Chapter 3, in which Harry begins his drunken fall into depression
