Movie Monday: Batman Has a Release Date

batman

The third Batman movie in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy finally has a release date: July 20, 2012

So you have some time to catch up on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight if for some reason you haven’t seen them yet.

The film is currently in pre-production and doesn’t have a villain listed yet. Who would you like to see as the villain?

(Christopher Nolan has already claimed it will not be Mr. Freeze. Sorry, Arnold. No puns from you this time.)

    The Penguin- Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

And Robin better be in it.

  2. RobRob says:

Robin Better NOT be in it, because both Bale and Nolan said they would jump ship if Robin entered the franchise. I say you go with a villain not very well known (ie HUSH or Clayface, or the Puppeteer) but if you want to go mainstream… The Riddler.

I have to agree with Rob in that Robin has no place in this trilogy. And I’d like to see Bane in the next movie.

Mad Hatter could be interesting. Ooh, or maybe a Superman-has-gone-crazy-and-Batman-has-to-put-him-down scenario.

The Riddler sounds like a great villain for a very twisted plot.. but who knows..

  6. ohsnapohsnap says:

It’ll either be Penguin or Ridler. Hard to say which would be better.

  7. DaveDave says:

I don’t think it should be the Riddler or the Penguin. I think they should go with the iconic Catwoman (Batman #1) or the little-known Mad Hatter (Batman #49).

I could barely wait another day for this news… Oh wait, I’ve got to wait 800 more days for the movie. Khannnnnnnnnn!
