Miss America On Video Games

In case anybody cares what Miss America has to say about anything other than hair products, the recently crowned Carissa Cameron, has strong opinions regarding video games and laziness.
“Take away the TV, take away the video games, set some standards for our children!” she stated during an interview. She also states that parents should encourage their kids to play outside, “playing imaginary games with sticks in the street like I did when I was little.”
What? *double take* Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!?! Where’s the logic? Not only does this statement accuse today’s parents of not setting good standards for their children, but did anyone notice she has proposed an extremely dangerous alternative instead? Playing in the street with sticks?! Who knows what could happen! Poking an eye out, getting hit by a car, visits from white window-less mini-vans, sharpshooters in trees.. ect. Plus, it doesn’t even sound that stimulating or fun! (Unless sticks = lightsabers *VRRRRROUUUM WABOOSH! WABOOSH!*)
What are my thoughts? Well, I feel pretty dang productive every time I rank up in Modern Warfare 2, I play with my friends on Xbox Live everyday, I explore the outdoors all the time in Assassin’s Creed 2 and not to mention all the good deeds I’ve done for my crew aboard the Normandy on Mass Effect 2. I’d say I feel pretty accomplished. Maybe SHE is the lazy, unproductive one. Someone, sit her down and give her a taste of Fable 2. She’ll begin to feel productive in no time.
