My Great Big iPad Adventure! [2 comments]

So yesterday (& this morning) I got to toy around with an iPad. Despite it’s popularity for being such an “EPIC FAIL!” and the cause for an internet joke phenomenon, I must say that I was thoroughly impressed! The iPad has proved to me that it’s convenient, useful and extremely good for quality entertainment.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely not saying the iPad is good for everybody! Say you’re the type of person who just casually surfs the web, doesn’t do a whole lot of social networking or emailing and you watch all your favorite movies & tv shows at home because lets face it, you don’t have anything better to do! If that is your type, then yea, there would be absolutely no point for you to purchase one! However, if you are someone whose life & work depends on the internet & you’re constantly on the go, the iPad would be an absolute dream come true for you.

First things first! Trying it out..

The keyboard was initially my biggest worry. It took a second or two for me to get used to and I DID have to adjust my aim a little bit, but it’s a lot easier to use than I had expected.
P.s. Notepad rocks!

Having a large, easy to use & organized iCal would save my life! (Or my dentist appointments!)

I don’t know what the heck that face is, but the new email app gets a big thumbs up!

Lol,the book shelf only had one book..

..and it was Winnie the Pooh! lol

White chicks & gang si- err, uhm… I mean look at the Marvel Comics app!

Spiderman?! *GASP* How could he!?!?!

…ALRIGHT! I’ve gone too far!

All in all, sure theres a lot of stuff it doesn’t have that people wanted (I.E. flash, multitasking, cure for cancer, a kitten..ect.) and yes, it is just like a big iPod Touch! (Almost down to the very core!) But what I’ve come to terms with is the fact that it’s not supposed to replace my computer, it’s a tablet! A T-A-B-L-E-T! Not a miniature laptop, not a slice of my macbook! It’s a mobile all-in-one tablet.

I definitely plan on getting one for myself someday but I’ll see if I can hold out for one with a camera. (Assuming they WILL have one with a camera, that is!) It was really fun to play around with it. The apps on that thing are amazing, everything is so much easier, prettier and more understandable with a larger interface. I guess its true when they say “the bigger the better!” (……unless talking about picking see-saw partners! No, don’t get up dude! Don’t get off, DONT! No! WHHHHYYY!!! *thud.*)
