Best/Worst Punishments [9 comments]

This kid’s parents decided to approach punishment with some creative parenting. That resulted in an almost “bragging rights” style of punishment for him.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not condoning or encouraging pot smoking or porn watching. But we all do some silly things in our lives, and eventually get punished (unless you’re me: I was a perfect angel/favorite child and never got in trouble. Or at least that’s how I remember it). Any time my brother got punished (because once again, I was the perfect angel), I remember that my parents couldn’t send him to his room because he had a computer, tv, and multiple game systems available. Who wouldn’t want to hide out in their room?
How do/did you get punished, and how did your parents/guardians avoid the whole “access to technology and sweet games” part of groundings?

They took away my books and RPG stuff. I was never really into “access to technology and sweet games,” I’m a RPG geek.
My parents would ground me from “The Dungeon” as they so liked to call our gaming room in the basement. They’d pump up my bike tires and send me out into the world.
Now, if I didn’t live in a small, backwater town and wasn’t the only video gaming geek I knew, then with a devious smirk I’d go to a fellow gamer’s house to get out of my punishment. Sadly, such was not true and I biked my little tush off for hours.
I had a great tan that summer, but it took me a whole year to finish FF7.

I got the computer taken away from me a couple times but never the TV or video games.
seems like the ‘getting caught’ part was really what he was getting punished for…lesson learned? be smarter and don’t get caught
Definitely when my parents restricted me from playing videogames for a week. It was so traumatizing I can’t even remember what I did to deserve such punishment ;)
My best friends partents threw out ALL of his toys because he left the door unlocked when we went for a bike ride.
I got sent to the Army. ;)
Actually my parents weren’t good at punishments, have four brothers so we kinda policed each other.
I am sending my self to the Marines, that is my punisment to myself for everything. My parents could not keep my from my tech when I got punished, they would always forget the Gameboy/DS.
